Direct measuring of correction planes

Old technologies in entering wheel parameters could provide only rough estimationof correction planes which inevitably drove to errors in finding imbalance location. As a result, an operator had to add, change or move weights repeatedly.

Direct measurement provided by Direct3D enables automatic entry of actual wheel data and ensures precise accuracy regardless of the rim type. Any wheel can be balanced for just one cycle involving this technology.

Direct measuring is made automatically by two electronic gauge arms. For entering parameters just bring the gauge arm to a correction plane.

Precise placing of tape weights

When placing the weight by eye at 12 or 6 o’clock position (especially from the internal side of the wheel), it can shift up to 20mm causing residual imbalance of 5-6 g per 50 g.

Final stage of Direct3D technology is the placement of tape weights:

  • precisely to the estimated distance;
  • precisely to the estimated angle;
  • operator fixes the weight with the gauge arm clip, pulls the arm out till the beep sound; and sticks the weight to the rim.
